About the job

I am a plaintiff in an ongoing civil litigation in the Court of Common Pleas in Chester County PA. I am seeking a skilled and experienced paralegal to assist in preparing comprehensive and accurate documents that I will provide to my attorney. Claims in the case include violations of the UTPCPL, Wrongful Death and Survival Actions Your Key Responsibilities: - Drafting legal documents: pleadings, redacting documents where necessary, reviewing and responding to discovery requests, assisting in the drafting of claims and motions. - Organizing evidence: creating a systematic and accessible evidence database. - Conducting legal research: gathering relevant case law and statutes. I will assemble and provide you with a Master File Index and copies of all related documents, along with copies of Pleadings and Claims submitted to date by my attorney. I will supply you with guidance on the content and intent of documents you prepare, and will review and revise your work before submitting it to my attorney, who will also review and comment before the final collaborative work product is submitted to the Court. Ideal Skills and Experience: - Experience in civil litigation - Strong drafting and organizational skills - Proficient in legal research - Ability to work interactively with me and members of the legal and medical team - Ability to meet deadlines You must become familiar with the requirements and formats for a Civil Case at Common Pleas Court in Chester County PA USA. This project is expected to last from 6 to 9 months. Average 15-20 hours/week; some weeks more, others less. Depends on the pace and progress of the case.
