Design Budget-Friendly Cat Collar

I am developing a state-of-the-art collar and lead kit for cats and other small animals and need a product designer who can turn the concept into a production-ready package. Comfort and safety come first: every surface that touches fur must feel soft and discourage scratching, so the material choice must reflect that priority. I’m open to nylon, leather, or even newer biodegradable textiles—as long as they stay gentle on the skin while remaining cost-effective for mass manufacture. Key features that must be engineered into the design: • Adjustable sizing to fit kittens through adult cats and similarly sized pets • A reliable breakaway safety buckle that releases under strain yet never slips unintentionally • Light padding in all high-contact zones for day-long comfort The finished kit should serve multiple purposes—daily walks, secure ID display, and light training sessions—without the user having to swap gear.
