Comprehensive Electronics Design Review

I have a consumer-electronics project that is almost ready for production, but I need a fresh set of expert eyes before I commit to tooling. Your job is to scrutinise every level of the design and give me a concise, actionable report. Scope of the review • Schematic – confirm AC isolation, creepage distances, relay selection and power-supply safety. • PCB layout – check placement, clearances, return paths and routing discipline. • BOM – verify component availability, footprints, part compatibility and RoHS compliance. • Firmware – validate logic for sensors, alarms, GSM SMS/call handling, relay control and fail-safe behaviour. • Safety & compliance – highlight anything that could jeopardise CE (LVD/EMC) readiness and flag gaps in documentation needed for RoHS. • Overall – list any missing or critical issues that must be fixed before production. What I expect in your report 1. A section outlining what is already correct. 2. A clear list of items that require correction or improvement. 3. Practical recommendations and next steps, prioritised by risk and effort. I will provide all current design files (schematics, Gerbers, firmware source and BOM) once we start. If you use specific analysis tools such as Altium, KiCad, SPICE, or EMC simulation suites, please reference them in your proposal. Accuracy, clarity and a safety-first mindset are essential.
