Full-Stack Developer – Ionic / React / NestJS / PostgreSQL - Rental Marketplace

We're looking to shortlist an experienced full-stack developer to help us finish and refine an existing peer-to-peer equipment rental marketplace. The platform is already well developed, so this isn't a build from scratch. The remaining work is mainly finalising functionality, fixing smaller issues, cleaning up technical debt and polishing the overall user experience before launch. There's no immediate start or rush. Right now, we're looking to find a few strong candidates who we can speak with properly when the time is right. Tech Stack Ionic React NestJS PostgreSQL Strong experience with this stack is important, as you'll be working within an existing codebase. What Still Needs Doing We've organised the remaining work with screenshots and clear dot-point notes, covering things like: Final features and functionality Bugs and smaller fixes Technical debt and code cleanup UI/UX improvements Website flow and usability Responsive desktop/mobile refinements Final polish before launch A Good Eye for UX Matters We're not looking for someone who just works through a list. We'd really value someone who can look at the platform and think “this works, but it would be better if we did it this way.” If something should be moved, simplified, removed, added or changed, we want you to speak up. A strong understanding of modern websites, marketplace flows and what makes a product feel polished is a big plus. How We're Shortlisting I'll initially be reviewing candidates myself. I'm a vibe coder rather than a professional developer, so I'm not going to pretend I can properly assess someone's technical ability from a proposal alone. I'll shortlist based on relevant experience, previous work, communication and overall fit. From there, selected candidates will have a Microsoft Teams meeting with myself and my developer/business partner. We'll go through the platform, existing codebase and remaining work in more depth and see if we're a good fit to work together. Experience with marketplaces, booking platforms, SaaS, payments or maps/geolocation would be highly regarded.
