Wildlife Photo Color Correction

I have 25–30 RAW DSLR images from my recent wildlife trip that need a subtle, true-to-life polish. I’m aiming for a natural and realistic finish, so every edit should respect the original scene while still bringing out the best in the animals. The priorities are clear: • Balance exposure and contrast so highlights never blow out and shadow detail is preserved. • Perform accurate color correction—think clean, faithful tones rather than over-saturation. • Add just enough sharpness and clarity to make fur, feathers, and eyes pop without introducing halos or noise. The wildlife subjects must remain the visual focal point; backgrounds can be softened or gently toned down when it helps the main subject stand out. Workflow can be in Adobe Lightroom Classic, Photoshop, or a mix of both—whatever lets you work nondestructively and keep full resolution intact. To be sure we’re aligned, I’ll send one image first: edit it to match the brief, and once I approve the result we’ll proceed with the remaining files. Deliverables • One sample edit (high-resolution JPEG + layered PSD or XMP sidecar) for approval • Final set of 25–30 fully edited images supplied in: – 16-bit TIFF or highest-quality JPEG – Original resolution, sRGB color space – Any sidecar or layered files so I can review the adjustments If you already have experience working with wildlife photography, you’ll understand how crucial it is to keep the look authentic while still giving the images professional punch.
