PROJECT OVERVIEW We are looking for a talented architect, hospitality designer or interior/exterior designer to develop a complete visual restyling for an existing outdoor food, drink and events venue located in Western Sicily, Italy. This is not a new construction or a complete landscape redesign. The venue already has mature plants, large trees, palm trees, vineyard rows, rustic wooden benches, existing seating areas, an operational kiosk/bar and a bathroom. These existing features should be preserved and enhanced. The goal is to create a coherent, elegant and highly recognisable Mediterranean identity by improving the existing exterior spaces and redesigning the interior of the kiosk/bar and bathroom. DESIGN DIRECTION The desired atmosphere should be: * contemporary Mediterranean; * natural, warm and atmospheric; * elegant but informal; * authentic and connected to Sicily; * highly photogenic and suitable for social media; * attractive during the daytime, at sunset and at night. Preferred materials and visual elements include terracotta, natural stone, textured plaster, raw or aged wood, woven fibres, rattan, linen, rope, dried palm leaves, olive and vine branches, earthy colours and warm ambient lighting. The final result must not look tropical, excessively bohemian, artificial or like a stereotypical rustic restaurant. We want a refined and emotionally engaging Mediterranean environment. REFERENCE IMAGES We will provide reference images showing the general style and some desired elements. These images are for inspiration only and should not be copied literally. The selected designer must interpret the references and adapt them to the real venue, its existing vegetation, vineyard setting, operational requirements and available budget. SCOPE OF WORK 1. EXTERIOR RESTYLING The existing plants, vineyard rows, trees and wooden benches must remain. The designer should study how to improve, style or reposition the existing elements and create a coherent visual experience throughout the venue. Elements and areas to be developed may include: * styling of the existing wooden benches using outdoor rugs, cushions, fabrics and small tables; * comfortable lounge areas with large cushions and low seating; * a conversation-pit-style lounge area, preferably achievable without major excavation; * groups of large terracotta jars, amphorae and pots in different sizes; * curated Mediterranean still-life installations and decorative vignettes; * compositions using terracotta, woven baskets, natural stone, raw wood, olive branches, vine branches, dried natural elements, candles and seasonal fruit; * a compact sculptural fountain or water feature with a natural stone or textured finish; * a natural stone or textured wall incorporating safe candle lighting; * large decorative mirrors, possibly framed with natural fibres or dried palm leaves; * one main Instagrammable photo spot that feels original and connected to the venue; * secondary photographic corners distributed throughout the space; * outdoor fabric canopies or draped textile installations where appropriate; * woven rattan or natural-fibre pendant lights and artistic lighting compositions; * improvement of the external appearance of the kiosk/bar; * entrance styling and discreet signage; * warm evening lighting for paths, trees, vineyard rows, benches and decorative features. All outdoor materials must be suitable for a coastal Mediterranean climate and resistant to sun, wind, humidity and salt exposure. The designer is not required to include every element mechanically. We expect professional judgement to determine what should be used, where it should be placed and what should be avoided. 2. KIOSK/BAR INTERIOR DESIGN The small existing kiosk/bar requires a complete interior visual restyling while maintaining its operational function. The project should study: * overall colour palette and material selection; * wall and ceiling finishes; * bar-counter front and worktop finishes; * back-bar design; * shelves, bottle display and decorative storage; * warm functional and ambient lighting; * menu and signage placement; * storage solutions; * small decorative details; * integration of terracotta, natural stone, wood and woven materials; * possible improvement of the kiosk’s exterior cladding. The design must be attractive but also practical for daily bar and food-service operations. 3. BATHROOM RESTYLING The bathroom should follow the same Mediterranean identity. We would like the designer to explore: * a terracotta jar or sculptural natural-stone washbasin; * a distinctive wall-mounted tap; * a large round or organically shaped backlit mirror; * textured walls or natural plaster; * warm indirect lighting; * simple shelves and practical accessories; * decorative details consistent with the rest of the venue. The bathroom design must remain hygienic, durable, easy to clean and technically feasible. REQUIRED DELIVERABLES The final project should include: * analysis of the existing venue based on photographs, measurements, plans and video; * one complete design concept; * moodboard and visual identity; * colour and material palette; * annotated 2D layout showing the placement of all proposed elements; * design of the main exterior areas; * interior design of the kiosk/bar; * bathroom design; * photomontages using photographs of the real venue where useful; * realistic 3D renderings in both daytime and nighttime conditions; * at least 8–12 final views covering the principal areas; * drawings with basic dimensions for custom-made elements; * lighting, material and colour specifications; * shopping list with real products or equivalent specifications; * preference for products available in Italy or within the European Union; * suggestions divided into essential, recommended and optional items; * preliminary cost estimate or budget ranges for the proposed solutions; * practical instructions that can be given to local craftsmen; * at least two revision rounds; * f
