Indonesian-English Short Story Editor

I have a collection of Indonesian short stories aimed at young–adult readers that now need to live just as vividly in English. I’ve already drafted literal translations, but they still read a little flat and carry a few linguistic hiccups. Your task is to retell each story in natural, engaging English, polish grammar and style, and make sure every cultural nuance lands for a teen–to–twenty-something audience without losing the original spirit. You’ll start from my Word or Google Docs files and work with tracked changes so I can see every tweak. I welcome the use of CAT tools or Grammarly as long as the final voice sounds human and age-appropriate. After the language lift, I also want a quick line-by-line proofread to catch anything that slips through. Deliverables: • Clean, publication-ready English versions of each story • A marked-up file showing all edits • A short translator’s note (three-to-five lines) per story highlighting any cultural references you adjusted I’m happy to answer language or plot questions as you go, and I’ll turn feedback around quickly so the project keeps moving.
