Forensic Audit & Reconciliation of Two Long-Term Personal Loans – UAE I am looking for an experienced forensic accountant / financial auditor / loan analyst to independently audit and reconstruct the repayment history of two long-term personal loans in the UAE, one with First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) and one with Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB). I have concerns that the total amounts paid over the lifetime of these loans may be substantially higher than what should have been payable under the original contractual terms. Before I approach a lawyer or take any legal action, I want to establish whether I actually have a valid financial claim. I therefore need an independent professional to reconstruct the calculations from the beginning and determine exactly how much should have been paid versus how much was actually paid. Scope of Work For each loan separately, you will: - Review the original loan/personal finance agreement and all related documents. - Review any amendments, restructuring agreements, refinancing arrangements, settlement letters, or changes to the loan terms. - Verify the original principal amount. - Verify the contractual interest/profit rate and how it was calculated. - Verify the original tenure and repayment schedule. - Reconstruct the complete amortization schedule independently. - Review all available bank statements and loan statements. - Reconcile every payment made against the loan. - Determine how each payment was allocated between principal, interest/profit, fees, penalties, insurance, and other charges. - Identify any unexplained, duplicated, excessive, or potentially incorrect charges. - Recalculate the outstanding balance independently at different points during the loan. - Review any changes in installment amounts or interest/profit calculations. - Review early payments, partial settlements, payment holidays, restructuring, refinancing, or other modifications if applicable. - Compare the bank’s calculations with the independently reconstructed calculations. Critical Objective I need a clear calculation of: 1. Original principal borrowed 2. Contractually expected total repayment 3. Total principal actually repaid 4. Total interest/profit actually paid 5. Total fees/charges/other amounts paid 6. Total amount actually paid to the bank 7. Amount that should have been paid based on the contractual terms 8. Difference between the two 9. Correct outstanding balance if applicable 10. Potential overpayment if any The most important deliverable is a clear conclusion showing whether there is a genuine financial discrepancy, how much it amounts to, and whether this provides a reasonable basis for pursuing a claim. I specifically want an objective assessment based on evidence even if it concludes there is no overpayment or valid claim. Cross-Loan Analysis After auditing each loan individually, I would also like a consolidated summary comparing the FAB and ADCB loans including: - Total borrowed - Total paid - Principal paid - Interest/profit paid - Fees and other charges - Contractual total repayment - Actual total repayment - Potential discrepancy/overpayment Deliverables I require: 1. Detailed Forensic Loan Audit Report: A professional report explaining methodology, findings, discrepancies, calculations, and conclusions for each loan. 2. Independent Amortization Schedules: A complete reconstructed schedule for both loans. 3. Transaction-by-Transaction Reconciliation: Every available payment should be reconciled against calculated loan balance. 4. Excel Working File: All calculations must be provided in an editable Excel file with formulas documented clearly. 5. Executive Summary: A concise summary showing key figures and whether there is evidence of material overpayment or calculation discrepancy.
