Residential Renovation Permit Coordinator

I’m looking for an experienced permit specialist who can take full ownership of securing building permits for a series of residential renovation projects I manage. The work centers on preparing complete application packages, tracking each submission through local building departments, and keeping my onsite crew up to date on any plan-checker comments or revisions. You’ll pull together architectural drawings, structural details, energy forms, and any required neighbourhood notifications, then submit them electronically or in person depending on the jurisdiction. Once the plans are in review, I’ll rely on you to monitor portal updates, respond to correction letters, and schedule inspections so construction stays on timeline. Success here means each renovation permit is issued without avoidable delays, all documentation is archived neatly in our shared drive, and I receive a concise status report every Friday. If you already know the ins and outs of our city’s online permitting system, IRC and local amendments, you’ll hit the ground running. AutoCAD or Bluebeam skills are a plus for quick mark-ups, but solid communication with planning staff matters most.
