I have a small two-piece case—a lid and a lower body—that both present A and B cosmetic sides. The goal is to define an efficient composite laminate schedule and verify its structural integrity through finite-element analysis. Both visible faces must end up with a high-gloss finish, so ply orientations, edge treatments, and any core breaks need to respect that surface requirement. Here’s how I see the work flowing: I have a lay-up in mind but need to look at various options for plies, core, etc.(materials, ply count, orientation, any core or local reinforcements) and back it up with an FEA simulation that demonstrates the case can handle abuse..I want to be able to take this thing out to a field and see exactly what it takes to destroy it. I also want to use graphene as an additive in the resin. I have a supplier that is already using his material in body armor with great success. Deliverables • Laminate stack-up drawing or table, ready for tooling • FEA model and report: boundary conditions, load cases, results, safety factors Native files from tools such as SolidWorks, CATIA, NX, ANSYS, Abaqus, or similar are fine—whatever you are most comfortable with as long as I can review geometry and results. Once I sign off on the laminate and the analysis meets the agreed acceptance criteria (no critical areas below a safety factor of 1.5), we’re done. I’m ready to start as soon as you are.
