Über den Job

Project MARS is a large-scale cultural data annotation initiative. Contributors review and annotate AI-generated responses to ensure they accurately reflect authentic English (Singapore) cultural and personal values. Your work directly helps train Large Language Models such as ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude to respond in culturally appropriate ways.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Each session consists of two stages: Stage 1 — Questionnaire Survey (~30 minutes) - Complete three validated surveys covering your demographics, personal value priorities, and cultural identity Stage 2 — Cultural Value Annotation (~150 minutes, minimum 10 annotation sets) - Select culturally relevant topics reflecting current Singapore norms - Articulate and rank 3–5 cultural value principles per topic - Create, select, or refine value-related questions (all three types must be used in balanced proportion) - Review and annotate AI-generated responses from both a cultural perspective (mainstream Singapore values) and a personal perspective (your own values) - These two perspectives must be kept strictly and completely separate at all times SESSION STRUCTURE: - Minimum: 10 completed annotation sets within 2.5 hours - Maximum session length: 3.5 hours (time beyond 3.5 hours is non-billable) - Tasks are released on a first-come, first-served basis - Platform: Value Compass Annotation Platform PAY RATE: - Rate: USD $10.00 per hour QUALITY STANDARDS: Contributors are assessed against a four-tier quality system: - Gold (100% accuracy) — Priority task access - Silver (97–98%) — Regular task access - Bronze (90–94%) — Under review / rework required - Below Bronze (below 90%) — Removal from project Continuous quality checks and random sampling will be applied throughout. Incorrect or non-compliant annotations must be reworked without additional compensation. IMPORTANT — ANTI-FRAUD POLICY The following are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate removal and forfeiture of payment: - Use of AI tools, auto-complete, or any automated annotation aid - Copy-pasting content from external sources - Annotations that do not reflect genuine human judgment - Only manual, human-based annotation is permitted.
